Couperose is a condition whereby the body's small red blood vessels dilate at the surface of the skin on your face. This causes a red appearance. When blood flows to the face, the skin's capillaries dilate to allow blood to flow freely. This happens when we're emabrrassed or hot and our face 'goes red'.
